Having worked a cycling lifestyle into office trousers, the next logical move is to incorporate dynamic movement into the dress shirt. The Outlier Pivot Shirt attempts that step. Abe Burmeister and Tyler Clemens walked us through the unlikely inspiration behind the eventual chosen cut.
The pivot sleeve shirt is all about movement. A shirt that moves properly in cycling position, but also lets you move comfortably through the sort of social spaces you wear buttondown shirts. We wanted to create a classic dress shirt that’s of the highest quality on the market, but doesn’t stress and pull uncomfortably on a bike.

The big breakthrough in making this shirt was when we started reading about the clothing George Mallory wore when he climbed Mount Everest in 1924. He wound up dying on that expedition but a lot of people believe he reached the peak first. The crazy thing is how well designed his clothing was though. In photos he looks like he’s dress to go golfing in Scotland, not climb the worlds highest mountain, but all the gear was specially tailored for the expedition and actually works better than most modern mountaineering gear. That gave us a lot of inspiration for making a piece that combined classic aesthetics with advanced movement.

Any bespoke tailored piece is going to move better because it’s made to your body and the cutter is in a real dialog with you and can learn about how you move. But Mallory went further and actually developed garments specifically for the movements of climbing, all the reaching grabbing and swinging of ice axes means you move your arms a ton and you can’t be letting in cold air at Himalayan heights! A few years ago a team reconstructed his clothing and then climbed Mount Everest in it and the crazy thing is that it was lighter, warmer and moved better than all the high tech gear they were used to using!

Mallory actually developed and patented a pivot sleeve jacket, and that’s what really got us thinking on how to re-cut the shirt. Our pivot sleeve works completely different from his, but we are totally in debt to his work and to the historians who recreated his garments. It really helped us understand what we needed to be doing as we try and create better clothing for a world where cycling is best way to navigate a city.

Hello world, today i thought id talk about 10 Deep's winter collection as you would imagine there are some oldreliable peices in the collection such as there camo bodywarmer and fleece lined hoods but thats not what im excited by. I wanted to talk about the swaggered up m65 jacket which has a slightly used look about it not to mention theyre denim shirt which features a front stash pocket. Aswell as theyre green and red striped shirt that would'nt look out of place on the sat of menace to society its got a real 96 feel. My new obsession

Hey world how goes it??? Now i have to introduce you too my new obsession, im sure in probably late on this. The other day im sat channel hopping an i come across this show on Channel Fx and i see Burn Notice now where do i start, from the begining i guess.
Burn notice is the story of an Ex US spy turned robbing hood Michael Western, now i say Ex spy thing is Michael has only just found out this information in the middle of an OP (Mission) in Nigeria. Now it turns out when an American Spy is fired he's not called in for a meeting given his P45 and sent on his way with his last paycheck. NOOO that would be too easy, you are left in what ever country they decide to leave you All of your assets frozen and connections ceased. Michael finds himself using all of his special forces Training to fight cartels, crooked FBI Agents, drug dealers and pimps to help the weak. This set in miami is slick and clever with sharp, witty and often incitefull naration all of this with it being beautiful to look at makes a hit in my mind. Watch itand tell me what you think.

Hello world, I thought id tell you about my new addiction. As an aging sneaker head ive began searching for something new to sooth my sneaker needs, ive seen myself looking towards a comfy alternative. Like most my head has been turned by driving shoes but more then that ive found the most beautiful loafer. The Mr. Casual by Belgian Shoes Designed in the 1940s by Henry Bendell, the shoes were originally manufactured in Belgium. Made by hand in the “turned” manner, they are sewn inside out and then turned. This technique, apparently, accounts for unparalleled comfort.
The “Mr. Casual” comes in an array of leathers and suede’s my personal favourite is the featured ostritch calf with black trim Word on the New York street is Andre 3000 is a big fan no suprise there these are effortlessly cool.

Approved by the Home Office in the UK, this anti-stab knife is seen as a potential panacea to the spate of stabbings in the country. It's been designed by John Carnock, after his wife saw a TV report calling for a ban on long, pointed kitchen knives. Although he admits there's no such thing as a safe knife, he claims of his design: "the idea is you can't inflict a fatal wound. Nobody could just grab one out of the kitchen drawer and kill someone."

Resembling the underside of a ship, the $80 knife has a blunt upper protrusion, with an undercut that protects the blade, and whilst it may prevent a mortal stab wound, there's still plenty of scope for it to do some pretty nasty damage. It is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year, but do you really reckon it will bring the number of fatalities down — 322 people died in Britain last year as a result of knife crime. These are a household must!!!
